Welcome Back!

August 10, 2011

Dear Abraham Lincoln Families,

Welcome Back! We are very excited about the start of school! I hope all of you had a great summer break and are rested for another year of learning!  I cannot tell you how continually impressed I am by the dedication and expertise of all who work here at Lincoln.  You should feel assured by the care that your students will receive from this extraordinary staff.  I look forward to another successful year.

Class lists will be posted in the cafeteria on August 23rd from 4:00pm-6:00pm.  Please remember, that the teachers and I do our best to place your student in a classroom where they will be most successful.  I do not make appointments regarding class changes during the first week of school and ask you to keep in mind that class changes happen only in rare cases.  School begins on August 24th at 8:00am

Here at Lincoln, we value instructional time and ask that students arrive on time to school each day.  Attendance is also crucial for your child’s success.  Please make doctor and other appointments outside of the school day.  School begins promptly at 8:00am.  Please note that each Thursday we have an early dismissal.

We ask all parents to take an active role in their child’s education by working with them at home and monitoring their progress.  We need your support and assistance at home to maximize your child’s learning potential.

Please remember to keep all valuables, (iPods, cell phones, gaming systems, etc) at home as they are not allowed at school during school hours.  The school is not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Students that need to contact parents are always welcome to do so in the office.

Again, welcome or welcome back to Abraham Lincoln.  Please consider joining our PTA and getting involved with our school community.  We look forwarding to seeing you here at school.
